The Girolle is a charming little invention for cutting the Tête du Moine, a cheese made in the region of the city of Berne in Switzerland. We adopted its principle for a soap dispenser. By turning the crank with a certain pressure, the machine creates a curl of soap perfectly convenient for one single hand-washing. Swiss Soap was designed at écal during a workshop with AXOR and was shown at Designers Saturday in Langenthal complementing the launch of the Axor-Bourroullec collection. It was also on display as an individual piece in the Design Biennale in Saint Etienne.
